a practical workshop in quantitative and statistical techniques

 
Description
This four day workshop will help your organisation kick-start your road to maturity level 5 of the CMMI. Based on tried and compliant techniques, the workshop will take you from the basic principles of statistical and quantitative management to the best practices to achieve the Quantitative Management (ML4) and Optimising (ML5) levels of the model.

This workshop starts at the bare definition of quality and walks delegates through a well-defined argument on how quality affects customer’s satisfaction. In the workshop you will learn how to identify critical processes and how to analyse their behaviour, measuring their main attributes and creating lead and lag indicators to manage your projects.

Delegates will work through exercises with schooled solutions to practice the class material and solve process problems using statistical methods. The 4th day is an optional workshop in which students work with the instructors to build process models with their own data and analyse the performance of their own processes.

The workshops are usually led by two of our CMMI authorised high maturity lead appraisers who each have many years’ experience of interpreting, for different organisations, the high maturity practices of the model and using the model in SCAMPI Appraisals. The workshops are presented in a facilitative style designed to create dialogue among participants and instructors.

Each student will receive a copy of the slides and exercise materials and the Goal/QPC Memory Jogger II and Rath & Strong’s Six Sigma Advanced Pocket Guide. A certificate of attendance will be given to the attendees that completed the course.

Workshop Topics
All our Instructors who facilitate this workshop are certified as both a High Maturity Lead Appraiser and CMMI Instructor by the CMMI Institute.

The workshop is composed of lectures and class exercises and is presented in a facilitative style designed to create dialogue among participants enabling them to ask questions, to share their experiences, and to discuss what high maturity means and how it can benefit their organisations.
