Like every CMMI model, CMMI-DEV is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes and can be used to guide improvement for a team, project, division, or an entire organisation. It helps to set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes and can be used to improve processes inside an organisation or with clients.

Course Overview

This 1 day course is for those people that have attended the Introduction to CMMI for Services course and is intended to leverage your existing knowledge of CMMI to understand CMMI for Development.

Our instructors will adapt the course material and learning techniques to meet the needs of the participants. Using their practical experience of planning, managing and delivering services they will help the attendees to think about the model in their own ‘real-world’ situations. Based upon the scenario introduced in the Introduction to CMMI for Services course this course consists of:

Attendees must have previously completed the Introduction to CMMI v1.2 or v1.3 course or the Introduction to CMMI v1.1 and the CMMI v1.2 Upgrade Training courses.
