Our Delivery Approach

Our courses are composed of lectures, discussions and class exercises but with a strong emphasis on delegate interaction enabling them to ask questions, to share their experiences, and to discuss what the model practices mean for them and for their organisations. Participants have ample opportunities to discuss how they might apply particular techniques and skills in their own organisations and to explore solutions to related problems. And challenging the instructor and CMMI concepts is positively encouraged!

Using a range of interactive techniques Steve will adapt the course material and learning techniques to meet the needs of the participants. Our use of PowerPoint is to reinforce learning and not as the primary teaching aid.

We also encourage participants to bring to the course their own experiences and to use them as aids to learning and using his knowledge and practical experience of planning, managing and delivering projects and services our instructor will help the attendees to think about the model in their own 'real-world' situations. Steve will observe and facilitate participant and team interaction during the exercises and provide first-hand feedback. Periodic self-assessments enable participants to monitor their own progress and to request clarifications and additional information, etc. on course topics when appropriate.

Our objective is that by the end of the course the participants will have more than just a theoretical knowledge of the CMMI. Our aim is to deliver high-quality training courses that, in addition to imparting theoretical knowledge, provide delegates with real-life experience of how to improve the quality of their services and products and how the CMMI can be applied to their organisation's process improvement program.
